2012 Theme Weekends

Please join us for our "Theme Weekends". There will be lots of activities, contests, and music for each. Costumes optional for each theme , although, there will be "best dressed" costume contests for each. Our local D.J.’s, Walt & Vikki have over 30,000 Karaoke songs as well as 79,000 D.J. songs for dancing. They will be at the Pavilion on all most all Saturday nights from 7:00 – 10:30. Also Kids activities every Saturday!

May 25th-27th Memorial Day Weekend

Kick off Summer with Bad Penney. …And kids activities both Sat and Sunday during the day for the kiddos…Adult horseshoe tournament too. Come join the fun and start summer off right!

June 22nd-24th "Pirate" Weekend

There will be lots of plundering. Dress in pirate costumes watch out for the pirates as come to "plunder and pillage". Take a cruise to Imagination Island on the Pontoon! Then join in the scavenger hunt. I’ll bet some of those pirates forgot about the "treasure" hidden at the campground. Get an eye patch and practice your "ARRGGHH MATEY"!

June 30th-July 4th Fourth of July week

Kids activities, Games, Contests, Site Decorating Contest, , golf cart parade, hay ride, Dancing & Karaoke and live entertainment. Winners of "Most decorative Site" will be announced Sunday night. There will be activities, and parade in town Damariscotta as well.

July 7th – Hawaiian "Luau"

Tie a "Hula Skirt" around your waist, and put on a "Coconut Bra". Follow with colorful lei’s around your neck, all while sipping some kind of "Tropical" beverage. Join our "Hawaiian pot luck" , bring your favorite Hawaiian dish…There will be authentic Hawaiian music, "Hula" lessons, and a "Limbo" contest. The "Hawaiian" theme would not be complete without someone singing "Elvis’s Hawaiian Wedding Song", and Don Ho’s " Tiny Bubbles". "ALOHA" EVERYONE!!

July 14th Christmas in July weekend

Come and join in the festivities. Santa comes by sleigh ride with gifts for the kiddos. Great opportunity to take out your christmas decorations and decorate your site. Christmas party at night with a potluck, bring your favorite dish and don’t forget some egg nog. Bring an ornament for our tree decorating on Friday night! Best decorated site announced Saturday night..

July 21st – "Crazy Hat" day

This is a chance to be "very creative". Make the coolest, craziest hat you can. Try to find some unique items to put on it. "Anything Goes". Kids activities including hat making and decorating followed by a parade. Winner of the "Craziest Hat" announced.

July 28th –"Halloweekend"

"Halloween in July". Get into your "Halloween" costume, decorate your site, trick or treat and get ready for the "ghouls"! Don’t forget the "haunted hay ride" and our Haunted Barn….if you dare! The winners of the "Best Costume", as well as the "Best Halloween Site" will be announced.

August 4th – "Lobsters, Steamers, & Corn…OH MY!!

August 10th-12th "Wet & Wild Weekend"

Not a weekend for those afraid to get wet….All day "Be prepared"! When you least expect it, you will get "wet". You need to bring your own "soakers" so you will be ready for the "attack", and be ready to "attack" back. You will definitely need one for the "soggy" hay ride! A really fun weekend for all ages!!

August 17th-18th "Duck Puddle Idol"

Wanted: Karaoke singers, to participate in our "annual" Karaoke contest! There will be over 30,000 songs to choose from. Preliminary rounds will be Friday night and the "Idol" will be announced Saturday night. Fun activities during the day kids

August 26 – 27 Second Annual "Puddle Palooza" Concert

Top local bands in the region will perform all weekend with Country and Classical Rock Music in the Upper Field with a real Sound Stage. Admission required for both Friday and Saturday evening performances. Special Weekend Tenting packages offered. Bands will announced at a later date, inquire at the store for ticket sales and details!

September 2-5 "Labor Day" Weekend! " Team Weekend"

Bring a team for and compete all weekend in volleyball tournament, wiffle ball tournament, horseshoe tournament and canoe races. Winners announced Sunday night, kids activities and games all weekend long, and entertainment both nights with bonfire! Kick off fall right with us at DPC!

September 15th FISHING TOURNAMENT

Teams of 2 per boat. Camping/cabin packages available. Fish weigh in, cash prizes, award ceremony and BBQ with entertainment. Kids activities during the day to keep the little ones busy. Call store for details.

October 5-8th Columbus Day weekend

"All You Leaf Peepers"! This is a great weekend to come to Damariscotta once again. This is the weekend for "Pumpkin Fest" and a whole weekend of "Fall Festivities"!! There will be huge pumpkins displayed on Main Street in town that will be carved. There will also be pumpkin catapulting, and the weekend ends with pumpkin boat races. Duck Puddle campground will also have kids activities, hay rides to our own pumpkin patch and a pot luck with entertainment!
